Care Guide

General Cleaning

Regular Cleaning
  • Brush or Shake Off Loose Particles: Regularly brush or shake off loose dirt and debris from the fabric.
  • High-Powered Water Hose: Use a high-powered water hose to remove mud and dirt easily. Allow the fabric to air dry.
Immediate Stain Removal
  • Blot Spills Immediately: If you spill something on the fabric, blot it immediately with a clean, dry cloth to prevent stains from setting in.
  • Treat with Mild Detergent or Bleach Solution: For tougher stains, use a mild detergent or spray with a bleach solution (2 oz bleach to 30 oz water). Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry.
Tough Stains
  • Use a Baby Wipe: For oil-based or particularly tough stains, first try to clean with a baby wipe.
  • Mild Detergent Solution: If needed, use a solution of 2 oz of mild detergent (like Dawn) to 30 oz of water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry.
Important Notes
  • DO NOT Use Solvent-Based Cleaners: Solvent-based cleaners can damage the fabric.
  • DO NOT Dry Clean: Dry cleaning can harm the fabric.
  • DO NOT Use Dryer on Heat Setting: If machine drying, use the air dry setting only to prevent damage from excessive heat.

Machine Washing Olefin Fabric

Guidelines for Best Results
  • Remove Covers: Use the zipper on the bottom to remove the cover from the float. Deflate the float slightly if necessary for easier removal.
  • Pre-Treat Stains: Treat visible stains or spills with a stain remover suitable for Olefin fabric. Follow the product's instructions.
  • Use Mild Detergent: Choose a mild, liquid detergent specifically designed for delicate or synthetic fabrics. Olefin is bleach-safe and the bleach will not affect the color of the fabric (even dark colors).
  • Select Gentle Cycle: Wash the covers on a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water.
  • Avoid Fabric Softeners: Do not use fabric softeners as they can leave a residue that may reduce the fabric's water-resistant properties.
  • Slow Spin Speed: Opt for a slow spin speed to minimize wrinkles and stress on the fabric.
  • Air Dry: After washing, remove the fabric promptly and allow it to air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. DO NOT use the dryer unless on the air dry setting.

Storing Your Pool Chaise

Proper Storage Tips
  • Deflate and Store Indoors: When not in use, especially during off-seasons, deflate your Pool Chaise and store it indoors, away from direct sunlight and harsh weather conditions.
  • Use a Storage Bag: Store your deflated Pool Chaise in a clean, dry storage bag to protect it from dust, dirt, and potential punctures.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep your Pool Chaise away from sharp objects or rough surfaces that could puncture or damage the TPU material.

Addressing Air Loss

Common Factors and Solutions
  • Temperature Changes: Rapid changes in temperature (increase or decrease) may affect the air inside your float. It may only need a bit of a top-up.
  • Valve Tightness: Ensure that both components of the Boston dual valve are fully tightened. Often, one part may be tight, but air can escape through the other piece.
  • Puncture or Tear: If you suspect a small puncture or tear in your Pool Chaise, and you have checked all of the above, please reach out to us immediately. If the puncture or tear happened after you received your Pool Chaise, we have included TPU patches in your package to extend the life of your Chaise.
